I love the family movie night tradition so much! Blessed to be apart of it! I also love the idea of painting ornaments. So awesome and everyone did so great this year!
I carry on one my mom started for my brother and I - I get each of our kids their own Christmas book each year and write a note inside the front cover. I read my old ones to them (they love the notes from Grama!), and I hope they’ll read theirs to their kids some day!!
We also do a big homemade breakfast for dinner night on Christmas Eve. Everyone loves it!
I love the idea of painting ornaments! I usually buy ones that reflect whatever my kids are into that year. Our biggest tradition is having appetizers on Christmas Eve. Santa brings PJs to Gigi's house and my kids get to soak in her giant tub before going home and right to bed. We also bake Christmas cookies to exchange as gifts to our coworkers.
OMLordt, I remember the homemade ornaments. That was always fun even though my artistic side wasn't visual. As someone who loves all things dance, I've seen local productions of The Nutcracker via our local ballet group and it's always fabbity-fab. It's been a minute since I've gone, but I can't imagine what it's like in NYC, though. And so jelly that you've seen The Rockettes. I watched them do their stuff on while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and YOWZA!! All that coordination is amazeballs. My family was just happy to see three POC in the group. LMAO.
